They laughed together and walked toward the stable door. They crossed the lawn together holding hands Blair looked up at the sky as they walked up the wide stone steps leading to the patio area of the palace.

Todd held her close resting his chin on top of her head "Blair...shah you didn't know I was still alive I'm sorry to for hating you because you tried to get on with life."

They held each other stronger for being with each other

"Get you good damn hands of my son's wife Manning."

Asa Buchanan stood in the doorway of the ball room staring at the embracing couple. Todd and Blair reluctantly broke apart and turned to look at Asa, behind him looking to be in a great deal of pain still stood Max.

"Yeah" he said backing up his Pa.

Todd smirked "Don't you mean my wife, little partner?"

Max bristled in rage stealing a quick glance at Blair whose cat green eyes met his and narrowed. "What are you talking about Toddy Blair's mine I've got the marriage certificate to prove it."

Blair laughed softly attracting the attention of each man who at one point in their marriage to the she wolf of lainview had heard that laugh and each of them paused to watch her red clad form walk past them and into the ballroom.

Max looked puzzled "What's she doin..."then a light in his head went on "Blair no"he yelled running after her.

"What in the hell is the hell cat doing Manning"

Todd grinned "Me"

Asa snorted "You've got straw in your hair Manning"

"That's alright it's in my underwear to."

Asa stalked off in to the ballroom with Todd's malicious laughter in his ears. Todd shook his head and followed the two into the ballroom what ever Blair was up to was not to be missed.

Blair stood next to the DJ whispering urgently, the DJ snuck a quick look down Blair's cleavage and nodded. Max catching sight of this exchange started to rush toward them just as Todd grabbed the back of his shirt and jacket "Not so fast Holden I think Blair might want to sing you a little song"

"Let me go Manning so what you screwed her big deal you and half the town don't let yourself think it's anything special woman like Blair use what's between their legs to get to what's in our pants, our wallets."

Todd refused to let that weasel Holden get a rise out of him "Seems more like Blair used what was between her ears to get your wallet buddy boy."

By this time the DJ had turned off the music and given the mike to Blair who cleared her throat delicately before beginning her announcement "Ladies and gentleman I know this is the wrong time and place for this but as most of you know I am really not a right time right place gal. The entire ballroom erupted into pandemonium. Asa looked at Max and finally all the clues fit together he leapt at Max fists forward while Max tried to make a run for it. Todd still holding his collar swung him slightly toward the enraged Asa who began pounding Max in the face knocking him to the ground as Todd let go of Max's collar.

The various members of Lainview's high society watched in amazement as Blair walked toward Todd who extended his hand to her and smiled. Together hand and hand ignoring the ass kicking that Asa was inflicting upon Max they crossed to their hosts.

Todd smiled at his sister "So sis wanna be my best...uh.. person in a couple of weeks."

Vicki rolled her eyes "Todd really at least wait a while make sure this is right for you two first."

Todd shook his head "Nothing doing, no more Manning children out of wedlock. When we find out about the next one I want Blair to be the present Mrs. Manning."

Vicki glanced at Blair's stomach "Oh my God.."

Todd chuckled "Not that I know of but if past experience has taught me anything it's that me and Blair never have a problem with that part of our relationship."

Ben surprised everyone by extending his hand to Todd "Good luck Todd, Blair I'm glad for you both, really."

Blair smiled glancing over toward the patio watching Bo try to drag Asa off of Max. "Thank you Ben, Vicki and yourself are our inspiration."

Todd snorted and muttered under his breath "Yeah right"

"Hello Todd," a high pitched voice cut above the noise in the ball room. There in a virginal white dress stood Tea Degrade Manning smiling "Darling I've come home"

"Hello darling, I'm home."

There standing before them in a bias cut virginal white gown stood Tea Degrade Manning smiling adoringly at her estranged husband. Tea looked around the group looking for allies and conspirators. Her eyes met Vicki's and she smiled softly.

Vicki could feel Todd's eyes boring into her and studying her with great consideration. She knew later on she would have to answer to Todd about her unintentional role in the reappearance of Tea Degrade.

But that was a concern for later, Vicki drew herself up drawing upon generations of Lord pride. "Tea"..She began firmly "It would seem there's been an announcement Todd and Blair are...well..They.."

"They are getting remarried" finished Ben not liking this slightly deranged looking woman who was making Blair look like a cat who just got it's tail stepped on. Although he despised his brother in law he was very fond of Blair who had incredible legs and wasn't shy about showing them off. Hard not to like a woman like that.

Tea laughed "I gathered that Blair might think something like that judging from the announcement she just made but Todd and I know that isn't the case."

"Degrade I don't know what you're talking about but you should go talk about it somewhere else.

"No. Todd I just came here to confess to Blair and to tell you that I can't go through with this. It's not right and even you have to know that."

Blair watched the exchange between Todd and Tea with a giddy feeling of nonattachment. Blair's beauty was the work of the most talented of all stylists, nature. Todd himself shot a quick appreciative glance at Blair. Her hair which had been arranged in a sophisticated upswept at the beginning of the evening now lay around her shoulders curling softly. There was a stray piece of straw tangled in her hair and Todd reached out to remove it.

Tea's eyes narrowed as she watched this unconscious gesture of love. Tea Degrade was not unattractive but she was not stunning like Blair. Her image was carefully presented through the miracles of expensive dress and quality cosmetics.

Tea injected as much sympathy as she could into her voice "Maybe Blair we should all go some place a little less...public.

"No."

Tea's mud brown eyes lit up with excitement even as she shook her head "Please Blair this isn't the place."

"I guess you missed the beginning of my announcement I'm not really a right time right place sort of girl."

Tea looked around again Todd's faced was devoid of all expression Vicki's own was wary and Ben was simply watching the unfolding proceedings.

In the back of her throat Tea made a small pitying sound "Blair I am so sorry for what Todd and I planned to do to you..."she looked downward and lowered her voice We just wanted a child so badly and ...well...I can't have my own babies but..."

Blair pursed her lips before laughing that deep throaty laugh that made Todd's cock stand up and take notice. "What a surprise," Blair paused for an instant "Actually no I'm not surprised I never though anything living could come out of you."

Tea's eyes filled with glittering tears that never actually fell. "Really well Blair, Todd only came back to Lainview to seduce you and get you pregnant. He was going to marry you again then we were going to gaslight you until you were just as crazy as your mama, we didn't..."

Todd took a menacing step toward Tea but Vicki caught his arm and held it tight. She addressed him urgently "WE are in a crowded ballroom with any number of people who would be thrilled to testify against you, if you want to have a future at all control yourself."

"She's lying her cheating ass off"
