It's an investment in your well-being. If you take even a day to rest, your full recovery will come that much quicker.

I made that mistake. Went back to work two weeks after my surgery, felt grate. Of course, everyone else at my office had a bad cold, and since my resistance was probably down, I caught one too. I never slowed down, and we had plenty of long hours in mid-December. After all the legislative sessions were over, right before the holidays, I felt so awful I literally could not face the thought of getting dressed and in the car to drive to work. My doctor initially said I had a bad cold, but he gave me a prescription for the Zithromax antibiotic and said to fill it if I started coughing stuff up. Well, that was just a matter of time. It wasn't until I got the prescription filled, and took two more days off, that I started feeling better.

Really, just take it easy. I wish I had; I probably would have gotten better a lot sooner.

(But other than that, how was your holiday???)
