Subject: Did you get your wish for a place to skate, Sammy?

It's been soooooo ccccccold these past few days, I have to think streams and lakes have frozen over, although it was warm today (Monday), so...maybe that put you back to the starting point. Well, it's only January; you still have the frigid month of February to look forward to. And hey -- this year, February lasts for 29 days! Bonus time! (Brrrrrr....)

I know what you're saying about wanting your kids to have the same memories you had. Sometimes, when I feel that way about Gumdrop, I think that I'm not just hoping she'll have the same enjoyment that I did. I also hope that maybe she'll understand her mom a little bit better, and come to know some of the things that have shaped me through the years.

The thing about a rink and kids is, they want to go there because their friends are there. But I'll bet they'll love skating on the river with their dad, too. I'm sure you make it fun!
