Subject: Well, the training is FINALLY over and it looks like I'll be buying not one, but TWO stores!

Hello all! I'm back for an all too infrequent update. Well, there's some grate things ahappenin' at the soon to be vacant RJ family homestead in NJ. My training was abruptly ended last week after I was allowed to make an offer on two McD's down in Virginia. It ended because the owner with whom I was dealing took a liking to me and accepted! I never dreamed I could afford two stores, but thanks in part to the stock market recovery and in part to a retiring owner who cares more for his employees than monetary gain, the contract is in the final stages and we're set to close on June 1!!!

Start up the banjos, though, because the RJ family will be living in mountain country. Good honest people, but it's going to be quite a culture shock, even though I grew up in a very rural Hunterdon County (at least it was rural 30 years ago!). I'm on top of the world right now. Not only will I finally realize my dream (yes, Summertime, the luster hasn't worn off, I still bounce outta bed each morning, happy to be going to work), but with these two restaurants, Cheekers, Sean and Megan won't ever need for anything in life, at least materially.

On other fronts, Erica (Cheekers) cannot wait for her little sister. She keeps asking when Megan will be coming. She's a little conflicted though, because she knows Megan will be born in a hospital (Mrs. RJ loves to watch the series "A Baby Story," so Erica sees that it's going to involve medical intervention of some sort). Since she hates doctors and hospitals, she would really prefer that we avoid both and just pop that sister out right away. Sean just merrily pats mommy's tummy and says "baby" and "sister". Once the little one is here and screaming, he'll probably wonder not only who the new noisemaker is, but will question why mommy's baby sister bump is gone from her tummy.

Take care everyone!!!
