Was this your teenage daughter who wanted the horse? Is the jet ski a suitable substitute? (It's gotta be nice to be using it in the water in the summer.)

What's Mrs. Sammy cooking lately? I'm sure she's finding a way to make the best out of NJ's summer bounty. You mentioned corn up above -- seems like it's a good season for it, despite the rain. We had some delicious Silver Queen ears last weekend.

Back to Bruce...Yes, he really does give his all. Three hours is more than so many other performers will play. I give him a lot of credit; after all these years, he clearly still loves to perform. You can really tell when someone wants to be there up on stage, or is just going through the motions. With Bruce, it's pure joy, and he's so grate at conveying that to the audience.

A coworker got some amazingly good tickets to see Bruce in the new Lincoln Park football stadium in Philly on Friday. He just logged on to Ticketmaster and found some seats very close to the stage which had just been released today. I guess they do that sometimes. I am so tempted to go again, but...we just got back from vacation. Plus, next weekend we're going to see Counting Crows and John Mayer at the Tweeter Center* in Camden, so I think I'd better be content with that.

*This has to be the stupidest name anyone's ever thought of for a performing arts center!
