Subject: What revolting weather. We actually have mushrooms growing on our lawn.

It's difficult to have fun when it's like this unless you're a duck.

We were at a freind's house last (Sat) night and were treated to BBQ'd (rotisserized) roast beef (yummy), so even though it rained it wasn't a total loss as we had good food and company. The shore is sooooo depressing when it rains. The kids didn't care as they were bouncing around on jetski's and were wet anyway.

But late last night when the rains let up we took the boat for a run up the Metedaconk River and were the only one's on the flat glass-like water. Real fun, the boat is just like flying when the water is flat and you pour on the speed!

This morning we decided to come home early because it was still raining and we didn't want to just sit around inside, of course as soon as we got home the sun came out (typical). Well at least we didn't have to sit in traffic.

On the way home (Rt #34) we stopped at Menzel Bros farm store (Holmdel) and picked up some silver queen corn which we just had for supper. NOTE: The northern Jersey corn is sweeter than the southern jersey corn this year. (I've now had both of the same varity and the north wins) Oh! and Menzel's has Jersey tomatos! We fried some up with the corn...yummy...burp!

Jeeze...Can you tell a dieter or what? Every one of my posts has something about food in it! (I'm such a pig!)

I hope everyone is making the best of this crappy weather and enjoying their summer? It's over half gone now you know? So better make the most of what's left!
