...we were prepared with batteries & candles...and the grill was cranking out burgers...now thats MY idea of crisis management...but I am grateful we both happen to be off work on vacation time, because janet would have been stuck in manhattan yet again.

...Turns out the smoke seen pouring out of a manhattan CON-ED power station was a normal occurence of an emergency shut down. It was first reported as a possible fire, which goaded reporters to speculate about it being a terrorist attack. That theory was quickly squashed.
