Subject: RIP, Warren Zevon. This world is a poorer place for your absence.

I love Warren Zevon's music. His humor was amazing -- pretty black, but always with meaning. (He also wrote some lovely ballads, too.) If you've read any of his lyrics, you'll know how amazingly creative and talented he was. "Werewolves of London" wasn't even the tip of the iceberg; there was so much more to him. I wholeheartedly recommend you go out and purchase his last album, "The Wind." There are some grate rock tunes, more amazing ballads, and overall, just vintage Warren Zevon. Plus, he had some incredible talent playing with him, like Bruce Springsteen, Ry Cooder, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, and more names whom I'm forgetting right now. (I think it was Bruce who said that Warren Zevon was "a moralist in cynic's clothing.")

I wanted to write something earlier but the site was down, so I'll gladly bow to Sammy getting here first. Sammy, did you ever work with him? I imagine it was quite an experience.
