The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) has Oklahoma (nee Bartlesville) Wesleyan among its membership, which includes College of the Ozarks, Newman (Kan.), St. Mary (Kan.), Bellevue (Neb.), York (Neb.) and one other Nebraska or Kansas school I can't recall.

St. Greg's would be the southernmost school in that league. I don't see how travel would be much better for them than it is now, but at least there is a reasonably nearby league.

So if St. Greg's does leave, does that mean the SAC finally can come to its senses and invite Langston to join? That should have happened when Northwestern came in. I haven't seen Langston's new gym, but it's got to be a major upgrade over what LU did have. Plus, location-wise, it would be a great fit. LU also is very competitive, which fits right in with the rest of the SAC.

Two things.

I'm not sure how seriously SGU is taking this thing. It would be trading one Texas trip for a couple trips to Kansas and Nebraska - in all sports because I don't think the SAC would accept them in just the spring sports and soccer, but I could be wrong.

Second, I think Langston is going NCAA Division II. That's the rumor I heard last year.
