My first choice would be for SGU to stay in the SAC, even though it would still be a nice rivalry that OBU would want to continue either way.

Arkansas-Fort Smith is approaching that threshold where they can't compete at juco because of their increasing junior-senior enrollment. That would be a nice travel partner for JBU. But they aren't ready to commit yet, I don't think.

Maybe SGU is looking at Division II because of competitive issues, not travel. Also, Bacone has been mentioned as a possible new SAC team. Thoughts?

What Ray said about Langston would probably go double for Bacone.

I know of at least four schools (maybe more) that would NEVER vote for them to join the SAC.

And I think the commissioner is against it as well, although I honestly don't know how much stroke he has on the issue.

Another likely candidate would be Rogers State in Claremore. They are starting athletics this fall and President Wiley has been a big fan of the NAIA.
