You have to be first team or second team in your conference to be nominated for All-American. If you go to the SAC website they are listed in the order of the votes received in the conference (coaches can't vote for their own players either).

The men don't have to send anything in, it is done strictly by the conference voting list. The women have to send in additional forms and statistics on each player nominated. The only reason I know that the OBU player wouldn't make it is if the paper work wasn't sent in on her.

After that, it is the voting of the NAIA committee members that determine who gets All-American.
