No one else seems brave (or foolhardy) enough to do this, but here are my picks for the NAIA tournament. Up front, I'll admit I might have gone with my heart over my head on a couple of them, but I don't think they're too unrealistic.

First round:
Mountain State over Columbia
Trevecca Nazarene over Lewis-Clark State
Houston Baptist over Azusa Pacific
OC over Brescia
Georgetown over Georgia Southwestern
OBU over Westminster
Lubbock Christian over California Baptist
Robert Morris over Xavier
Lindsey Wilson over Faulkner
Langston over St. Xavier
Concordia over Carroll
Mobile over OCU
John Brown over Union
LSU-Shreveport over Cumberland KY
Biola over Missouri Baptist
Southern Poly over Voorhees

Second Round
Mountain State over Trevecca Nazarene
OC over Houston Baptist
Georgetown over OBU
Lubbock Christian over Robert Morris
Langston over Lindsey Wilson
Mobile over Concordia
LSU-Shreveport over John Brown
Southern Poly over Biola

Quarterfinals
OC over Mountain State
Georgetown over Lubbock Christian
Mobile over Langston
Southern Poly over LSU-Shreveport

Semifinals
OC over Georgetown
Southern Poly over Mobile

Final
Southern Poly over OC

Comments:
OC got a good draw until the quarters, and getting the day off Thursday is a break for the Eagles. Mountain State is vulnerable -- the loss to Union proved that -- and OC is capable of winning that game. I think Merrill poses matchup problems for Georgetown should they meet, but Southern Poly just seems too good.

OBU should beat (rather easily) a Frontier Conference team in the first round before running into G-town. (The loser has to take the final national ranking banners down from their gym.)

LCU-Cal Baptist should be an entertaining first-round game, and since Illinois teams typically don't fare well in KC, I like the Chaps to knock off Robert Morris as well before running into the G-town juggernaut.

John Brown should be overrated Union but LSU-Shreveport is pretty good, as OBU already has learned.

Don't see how OCU has much of a chance against Mobile.

OK, since this is pretty much impossible to do for obvious reason, I decided to do a bracket using rankings based on wins against ranked teams who are in the tournament. Most of it works out pretty well except for the fact that OBU's 3 wins against Tourney teams skews the rankings. I personally think they'll have a rough time of it with Georgetown. I'd be surprised to see them win that game. It would probably be more accurate if I gave more points for road wins and less for home wins, but I've already wasted enough time on this deal. Some of these schools have horrible websites...and Southern Poly took their season stats of their website...bush league.

First round:
Mountain State over Columbia
Trevecca Nazarene over Lewis-Clark State
Azusa Pacific over Houston Baptist
OC over Brescia
Georgetown over Georgia Southwestern
OBU over Westminster
Lubbock Christian over California Baptist
Robert Morris over Xavier
Lindsey Wilson over Faulkner
Langston over St. Xavier
Concordia over Carroll
OCU over Mobile
Union over John Brown
LSU-Shreveport over Cumberland KY
Missour Baptist over Viola
Southern Poly over Voorhees

Second Round
Trevecca Nazarene over Mountain State
Azusa Pacific over Oklahoma Christian
OBU over Georgetown
Lubbock Christian over Robert Morris
Lindsey Wilson over Langston
Concordia over OCU
Union over LSU Shreveport
Southern Poly over Missouri Baptist

Quarterfinals
Mountain State over Azusa Pacific
OBU over Lubbock Christian
Concordia over Lindsey Wilson
Union over Southern Poly

Semifinals
Oklahoma Baptist over Mountain State
Concordia over Union

Final
Concordia over Oklahoma Baptist

The predictions based on wins against top 25 teams is doing pretty well after the first day. Looks like it's going to go 6-2. I'd take that to Vegas.

Sorry. That should be Trevecca over Azusa in the Quarter-finals then Trevecca instead of MSU in the Semis.

Here are the rankings from wins against ramled teams if you're interested. It's weighted so that wins against top 10 teams count for a little more than wins against those outside of the top 10. The rankings were based on the final polls, not what the teams were ranked when they won the game.
1. Concordia
2. Oklahoma Baptist
3. Trevecca
4. Mountain State
5. Georgetown
6. Lindsey Wilson
7. Oklahoma City
8. Lubbock
9. Mobile
10. Union
11. Azusa Pacific
12. Southern Poly
13. Oklahoma Christian
14. Westminster
15. California Baptist
16. Robert Morris
17. Faulkner
18. LSU Shreveport
19. Missouri Baptist
20. Biola
21. Columbia
22. Lewis Clark
23. Brescia
24. Langston
25. St. Xavier
26. Cumberland
27. Houston Baptist
28. Carroll
29. Georgia Southwestern
30. Xavier
31. John Brown
32. Voorhees

You OBU people don't give up do you. You will do anything possible to put OBU to the top. SOD, your spending all this time coming up with these ridiculous numbers to somehow prove that OBU still should win. Just get over yourselves and the fact that OBU had a bad year win the SAC was quality. They only are still playing because they hosted the tourney and now you have them winning it all. Come on.

Is that about right Murr?

Actually, SOJ at least had the guts to try to predict the tournament. I might not agree with his projections, but I didn't see anyone else (like yourself, SOD) make the effort like he did.

I know. You're probably having to spend too much time in that remedial English writing/reading class with Nathan to worry about it.
