Subject: HR lines between messages

Ok, I know I'm missing something here. What I want is to make a space between the bottom of the message and the line at the top of the next one. I set the HR line to HR BR BR (didn't want to use the < > here) and now I have a nice break at the top of the messages, but I can't figure out how to get it at the bottom. If you could help here, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
