I wanted to give you all an update. We competed in our first natural pageant the weekend of July 17....there were 11 girls competing in the 19-35 month age group....and we took 3rd! We are so excited...needless to say it was not Queen (and that is ok) but we now have the BUG!!!! If anyone can recommend some pageant systems (as close to MO as possible) - prefer natural but at this point would also consider some exposure to light/med. glitz....no where ready for the highrollers yet! LOL

My concern is this...take for example photogenic...the girl who won (same as the one that took queen) had an enhanced/retouched photo - make up and all...so I agree with the other mom...why can exceptions be made for some and not others...my luck - we would have done it and would have been DQ. So do we take our chances with doing this at nationals?

Check out www.voy.com, click on "Sports, Games, Hobbies", click again on pageants, and check out some of the sites to look for more pageant systems. Have fun!

Congratulations! I have a 4yr old and we have done high-gliz and natural pageants. Have you heard of Our Little Miss?It is a wonderful pageant system. They give scholarships and are more family oriented. They were very little makeup on the little ones and they don't like the hair falls unless their not noticeable. The pics are not enhanced.Oh,the dresses. They can be gliz or no gliz.I've seen winners wear either.I've seen a sunday dress win over a national dress. But you can't have a opening in the back of the dress below the shoulder blades. If so,it has to be covered up with a piece of material. They like the children to look like children. Here's my advice.Try to do as many of the small pageants as you can.The more experience she has on-stage the better. Here is the website:www.ourlittlemiss.com.If you have any questions please email me at anw_southerngirl@hotmail.com
