I neglected to tell you that on Saturday the 5th we'd be leaving for Wisconsin for a week (we just came back today). So while we were there, I guess we pretty much missed the IL storms, there were a couple in Wis. but during the night so of course, I slept through them, as always. We also had some rain and cruddy weather during the day up there at times, but that was it. Luckily today was beautiful, sunny and 81 degrees, and it was the same here, tomorrow it will also be that way. BUT, early in the morning on the 5th there was a storm in Illinois in a town about 40 mins. from here that we go to a lot, it's a pretty big town...there were winds ripping thru it at 70 mph, many homes and businesses damaged, thousands of trees wiped out, lots of power lines down. So yes, we're fine, luckily we didn't get hit with *that* (just barely) but it did happen, and pretty close. As we were driving up to Wisconsin that afternoon, we passed through the outer edge of that town and there were houses with big tree limbs across their roofs, scattered across their yards, leaves everywhere...I even saw a couple of pretty big trees down, and we passed a down power line. It was sunny by then, but that would have been awful to have experienced that storm.

I'm currently writing chapter 15 of my AWTR story after four million years (or a week and a half, close enough), and it takes place on Christmas day. So I'm wondering, do you have any ideas of gifts that Jamie and Landon could give one another? Just stuff that you can wrap, not like a horse or something. lol. Thanks much. =D

[> [> [> No. Clue. LOL. I am sure if you rack your brain for a bit you will come up with something. I know christmas gifts are really tough... Once I wrote this JAG story (my favorite show) and the two main characters (who eveyrone wants to fall in love) had to give each other gifts - REALLY hard to come up with good ideas. I do bad enough in real life. LOL. As for your story - Jamie is still pregnant, right? So maybe baby stuff. I dunno. You're good at writing, you will figure it out. -- KatieS, 11:59:45 07/13/03 Sun

[> [> Yeah - the storms here were awful scary. Thank God my friend lives so close so I can just go over and talk to her when the power is out and I'm frightened (I'm like a little kid - I'm afraid of power outages and I sleep with a nightlight. LOL!) Inside a min... -- KatieS, 12:03:48 07/13/03 Sun

Thankfully, it was sunny most of saturday - I had two teachers from 8th grade who had weddings on saturday. I hope they were perfect and didn't get rained on (though I suspect one of them did at least part of the time.) Storms are sposta be outta here until at least Wednesday.
Crap, I have to go my biological father is here.
