Claire, I just finished reading your AWTR fanfic on fanfiction.net, and WOW!!!!!!! That is sooo good! Alot of AWTR fanfiction is very poorly written, but yours is just excellent!! You are very mature for 13 and have a great talent for writing! I hope you get your next chapter up soon, I can't wait to read it!! I really love how Jamie tells Landon about the baby, that is so cute!! It's so funny, I'm sitting in my room with this dorky grin on my face going "AWWW!" and my mom walks in, LOL. Wow. I don't read this whole board often enough. I just found that you had replied to like four or five of my posts from a while ago down the board on May 11 and I didn't notice until now! LOL!
Now I shall respond to what you have said.
First of all, the Perseids meteorite shower/astronomy conversation. I too have loved astronomy soo much for a long time. When I was seven, my dad took me out late, late at night to see the comet Hyakutaki or however you spell it... I think the AWTR people say the word wrong. But we saw that same one that they were talking about in AWTR. The timing is right and everything, the movie is set in what... somewhere between '95 and '97? This was '96. Anyways, that comet was AWESOME! When we saw it, the tail streaked halfway across the sky, it was so cool! I mean, me or my dad had never seen anything so cool! Then when I was eight or nine, he took me to see another comet. That one wasn't as amazing but it was still so cool, I could recognize it. We have seen numerous meteor(ite) showers since then, particularly the Leonids and the Perseids. I got a telescope when I was like six but I lost all the parts and now it doesn't work, LOL. I'm asking for a new one once my parents get money again. Next year when I go to scary high school, I'm joining the astronomy club.
Then as for us being so awtr obsessed. LOL about how you dressed up like Jamie, I understand that!! I wore the same beige sweater for months after I saw the movie first... I didn't have one that was the same color as Jamie's. I also did the overalls thing... and the collar shirts. And I celebrate 2 "AWTR days", one is Jamie and Landon's anniversary (I think it's March 12?) from in the book, and the other is the anniversary of the first time I saw AWTR, February 10. I took my "big sister" for her birthday. You are right, we are so alike that it's scary, LOL. It's like my big sis and my friend Maria, they always say things at the exact same time, so much that it's terrifying. LOL.
Well I'll see you later, it's getting late. (Are you in Eastern Standard Time? I don't know, I'm great at Social Studies but we did time zones at the very beginning of the year and you can't expect me to retain information that I learned back then when I didn't like school quite so much, LOL.)

I just watched AWTR for the sixteenth time!! LOLOL! My dad watched part of it with me and I was crying really hard so he went upstairs... LOL. I don't think my parents like to see me cry. I want to know... what is everybody's favorite scene and favorite line out of A Walk To Remember??
My favorite scene is on their first date when Landon helps Jamie achieve her dreams, especially when she's in two places at once.... I always grin like mad right there, and oftentimes I go "Aww!"
My favorite line is actually kinda a conversation...
"Hey Jamie I was hoping we could run lines together."
"Right... just... not so anybody knows?"
"Well... I just thought we could... surprise everyone. With how good I get!"
"Like we could be secret friends?"
"Yeah! Exactly! It's like you're reading my mind!"

I saw the movie last night! It was great!
It was the first time in years I cried. It was a great feeling.
I saw many movies but this one has a great impact on me. Normally I have to study for my exams and its almost impossible, cause i'm always thinking of the movie.

Hey,
Some of you might remember that I tried to do a madlib around here a while ago, but no one did it but me... anyways, I wanted to show you what I came up with when I put the words in... if anyone is interested in doing another madlib, feel free to make one up and post it or ask me and I'll do it.
Once upon a time in the fluffy land of A-Walk-To-Remember-really-happens-but-nobody-dies, Landon and Jamie decided to go on a date. They were going to go twitching. Whilst they were writing on their bat, only one this time, something grew from the napkin! Jamie clunked to it and picked it up. She jumped on the slimy object without dancing with it. "Landon, come here, it's a pop bottle!" she exclaimed.
"What? A pop bottle?" Landon wondered. "Really?"
"It really is. Want to chase it?" she grinned.
"Sure, why not?" he answered. So they took the pop bottle back to their cloud and begun to trample it. "six hundred sixty-six," Landon muttered (AN: I'm sure Jamie was appalled... 666????). Jamie threw (something) at him. Then she set the pop bottle with their belongings and settled back against Landon. It was a rough evening (AN: Don't ask me). Paper would be frighteningly visible in about twenty-nine and a half hours. She wondered what they would *do* for twenty-nine and a half hours.
"What do we do now?" she asked Landon.
"Umm... I kind of want to kiss (AN: There's men for you...)," he answered. "But if you want to fly then that's okay too..."
Just then, Evil Belinda came wondering up behind them. "CRAP!" she exclaimed. "I found this movie, and I started watching it (AN: I did NOT do that on purpose, I swear!!), and it started licking (a lollipop), right? And then it galloped down and skied away!" (AN: I think Belinda seems a bit... er... mentally unstable...)
At this Landon rolled his bubble. "Belinda, there's a psychiatrist's office on the corner of Antidisestablishmentarianism street," he told her, his voice squishy.
"Really? Oh Goodie goodie two shoes!!!! I love those places!" she exclaimed. Then she hurried off to become the next keyboard lady. This of course, left Landon to drive with his toes.
THE END.

Thanks to all of you who gave me your condolences about my great grandmother. I went to her funeral today and am feeling alot better after hearing my grandfather's sermon (he is a minister) and I'm glad that she finally got to rejoin God in Heaven.

WOW! I hired the movie to watch with my mate after Church last week. This movie is breathtaking, I had tear stained cheeks for hours !!!
I made my own CD of the soundtrack because the ligitimate one doesn't have all the songs that i wanted.
This is such a beautiful film and one that wil definetly hold a special place in my heart forever.

He was going to have her die at the end, had every intention of it when he started writing, but he says he couldn't do it when the time came. He couldn't make her miraculously live, because that would make the book misleading, so he left it open to interpretation. Hello everybody! Ok first of all i just got to say I cant put this movie behind me. For some odd reason I just cant. I have seen it countless times and still right now its bed time and i'm thinking about going in the other room and playing it. I got on the internet tonight to see if i could find deleted clips and outtakes but i found out otherwise. So any way. If any one out there was tips about how to get over this movie. That would be great lol. i fell in love with jamie the first time i watched it. Most people say they love Mandy but its jamie they cant let go. I'm going to have to buy the book and read it. but like if you could change/add something to it..what would you do.
well in the book, a Landon is going back in time...so i thought it would have been cool if we could have seen a older version of landon..
and also i think it would have been better if we could have seen some of the time jamie n landon spent in summer... and i know its upsetting, but it would have been interesting (really really sad) to see Jamie pass away...so um yeah...

OMG...there's so many amazing parts in the movie...the whole movie itself iz amazing...i've memorized every lina and breath that they take...but my most fave part iz when Landon asks Jamie to marry him...that iz wut i call true love...i've have never seen anything more beautiful in my life...awwwww...i also like the part when she tells him that shez sick...and then he goes to hiz dad to try and get her some help...that wuz so good...O!!! and then the part after she tells him that shez sick and then she comes over his house while hez fixing hiz car and she walks up:

WELL i loved every bit of the movie, but i guess these are my fave scenes
1 - during the play while jamie sings (Landon looks like he never seen anyone so beautiful i his life)
2 - when Jamie gets her first kiss
3 - when Landon comforts Jamie after that cruel prank (the way he told his friends of, and then left the cafeteria with her was so sweet)
4 - how Landon shows her the state line...then he gives her a tattoo (it was SO romantic)
5 - and...The wedding..gawd she looked so beautiful.
6 - not really my fave, but it moved me (i was so teary)..after Landon visits Jamie dad, he goes for a walk and he starts talking bout how Jamie saved his life

I'm really sorry for not being here too much lately to entertain you, school is keeping me busy. I studied for a full 45 minutes on Social Studies stuff that I need for tomorrow... after spending my entire lunch period AND an extra half hour on my Algebra... sigh I need sleep. LOL. Well anyways that hasn't left too much time for messageboarding, the only reason I'm here tonight so much is because I had to be online for a while anyways to look up the Miranda vs. Arizona case for social studies :)

Mkay, A walk to remember is a bogus movie. Not bogus bad,but bogus good. I make a lot of sense :) Well I was justa wondering, what are everybody's takes on the whole mandy moore/ britney spears thing? I think moore's and excellent actress who would actually survive the cut throat film business. Spears on the other hand. I dunno. I just keep getting these images in my mind of her going," goodness me, mandy's making a movie! I've made everyone in the US worship me, but I have never made my own movie! the dvd does not have the 36 deleted scenes. there are a lot of scenes in the original movie, in the commentaires on the dvd they talk about them, but adam shankman had them cut for rating reasons. The dvd would be wonderful if they showed the 36, but lifes not fair. So there ya go, a little trivia.

Okay. I am soooo bored. There's nothing to do, nowhere to go (I can't drive!!!!), no one to talk to... Hey you guys,
I wrote an AWTR fanfic between now and when the movie came out, and I just finished it today so I thought maybe you guys would like to read it? I don't have a special fanfic board, so I'm going to post my story (all of it) inside the first reply... so you click on the first reply to this message to read it.
Now... I know the movie was perfect the way it was... but what this is is an idea as to some of the things they might have done in the summer after they were married. I know it IS NOT PERFECT! In fact it's probably kinda weird, but I have never read fanfiction for AWTR so I was guessing, kay? Sorry if I messed anything up.

Did anyone else notice some of the screen errors in the movie? Like when they were at the cemetary (WITH THE TELESCOPE!) for the second time, and Landon gave Jamie that star naming certificate thing, she held it while they kissed, she held it while he helped her sit down, but then the camera angle changes and it's no where in sight!! LOL! And someone said that his clothes changed between when Landon went to find Jamie and she was reading "To Kill A Mockingbird" and when he chased her outside the school. LOL.
Not that it matters, I just thought it was kinda funny!! LOL! Were there any I missed? I know I didn't name everything.

Hey ppl! i liked the movie....but not THAT much......reason being, Sean(brother) and my cousin...they were watching it too, and they kept making stupid comments like "omg! she's gonna die!" "oo oo look, he's going to cry!" i was REALLY enjoying it until they walked in......grrr...they like totally ruined the movie! :-(
but anyways!
has anyone read the book? i hear its really good...?

I think i will use this opportunity to change my code name. Just to let you know it is Katie Szymczak aka Raven14 and Katie Sue...... Anyway i think it is kool that kate started a board for this movie. I hope we can keep it going. And i think that Shane West it so hot. ok i think i will stop here so i can find something to talk about that is on topic.. Which i can right now so i think i will talk to you all later...... :)
