WOW alot to say... inside. -- KatieS (I just tried to type "JF1" which is my s/n at the JAG board, LOL!), 20:29:12 09/01/03 Mon
I did have alot of fun in the nursery except two kids cried when we tried to change their diapers - LOL. They're sweeties though. All is right in the world when you have a baby in your arms. :)
We went to my grandparent's cottage at lake st. marys for labor day - and it rained THE WHOLE TIME. OMG! It was pretty boring but I was really happy because I got to see my cousin Sara who I rarely ever see. My family there is nice :) Today we came home and just watched movies and TV... now back to the week day drill. Sigh. But only four days this time - Woo hoo! :)
I know - what that girl said is sort of funny but yes, really insensitive. Kids at my school were so horrible before they found out how bad it really was. To them it was just a big joke that got them out of football practice. Only a few of us (including me) realized the severity right away, that's why no one understood when I was crying in language arts after the teacher told us, or why when we were watching CNN in tech ed I kept saying "oh my God". But some kids were making jokes and stuff about it and I was really mad and then the next day they came to school and were like totally trying to pretend they never said those things. **eye roll** Last year we had one minute of silence (I was really mad I thought it should have been ten) and I dunno what we'll do this year. I hope something good though.
I SAW chapter sixteen!!!! OMG! GREAT JOB!!!! Your writing never ceases to impress me! Just the way you use the language, the effect it creates... makes you feel like you're really there. I go through all the world of emotions reading your story... it's really great. Thanks for posting it :)
Did it rain alot in Illinois? At the lake there was flooding - the whole front yard was a puddle and the lake was really high. At home, the streets are full of water and those little gutters on the side by the curb are full of rushing water. It's still raining - needs to dry out or we're gonna be flooded knee deep! lol.
Anyways I got to go - my friend's friend is giving me crap in an IM. Sigh.
Katie
