That's hilarious about your sister. Sounds like my sister. She likes the movie too but sometimes she makes little comments about it and before I can slap her she'll be like, "I was just kidding!!" lol. Yeah, you better be. Anyway, yeah, I used to cry, at times even practically sob, when I watched AWTR, but now...it's just too sad to think about. :( lol. It's just so nice to think about Jamie living and she and Landon having good times together with their family and friends...like this weekend I went camping with my best friend, her family, and her little sister's friend and the whole time I was thinking what it would be like if Jamie and Landon went on a camping trip with some other families they know, like...Landon's parents and everything, you know? lol. I tend to think like that. I love the movie so much, I can make everything tie in with it somehow. hehe. When I do fun stuff like camping or vacationing or something, I always imagine them doing it. I'm weird. =P

Hey, that's okay!! I tend to do that same thing... like... we went to my grandparents' cottage and went boating this weekend and I kept thinking 'would so and so from this and this tv show or movie like this?' I bet that Jamie would have liked what we did this weekend, it was fun. I love to imagine the fun stuff too, that's why I write fanfiction... everytime an idea like that comes to me I put it into a fanfic and that helps me. -- KatieS, 19:59:35 05/26/03 Mon

It's funny... -- *Claire*, 19:41:52 05/27/03 Tue
How alike you and I are. It's almost like you're me but, in a different person...obsession-wise. lol. It's cool that you think the same way as I do, but for me, instead of thinking about how different people from different movies or TV shows would like it, I just think of AWTR. hehe. =) By the way, and this is a little off-topic, I'm all excited today cuz it was the last day of school for like an hour this morning, and now we're FINALLY on summer vacation... even though this year seemed to go by sorta fast. But anyway, I'm happy! =D

Inside... (click here) -- KatieS (putting this inside because I'm afraid it's going to be long), 21:59:01 05/27/03 Tue
See... with me, I have different obsessions that change periodically. When I was in preschool I had an obsession with captain planet, LOL! It was weird. Then I had a japanamation thing when I was like nine. When I was ten I had a Titanic obsession, not just the movie, the boat itself too. Then I had a Harry Potter obsession when I was eleven, and a JAG one started when I was 12 and hasn't gone away yet. My AWTR obsession started in February 2002 and also still hasn't gone away yet. My next obsession bridges the gap between this topic and the next - it's school.
This year has been a wonderful school year for me - I've had the greatest teachers EVER, and made some wonderful new friends. But I'm in the eighth grade and this is my last year at the middle school. I'm terribly sad - school has been the most important element of my life this year. Without it I'm not sure what I would be doing or if I would be doing anything today, because I've had a very hard year and the people there have helped me through it greatly. Even just by smiling at me sometimes. The last day for us is June 5. I'm going to cry, I can tell it already. I promise I'll be here in tears by 6:00 PM.
Anyways, I'm glad you had a good last day. The only things I'm going to be glad to say goodbye to are:
1. Choir!!! ACK it's an awful class and the instructor is evil.
2. Algebra!! I love the teacher and I love being there, but the subject is just AWFUL!
3. Some of the stupid preps that are thankfully going to a different high school next year.
LOL!

Hehe -- *Claire*, 17:09:47 05/28/03 Wed
I'm glad you had a good year. I was in choir too this year, but I liked it, hehe. Math was a bad subject for me too. And PREPS!! There's another reason you and I are so much alike...we both think PREPS ARE EVIL!!! lol!
Anyway, like you, I've had many obsessions in my lifetime. Before AWTR it was "Pearl Harbor"...lol. And like you said, not just the movie, but the whole WWII era and the whole Pearl Harbor event. Oh yeah, and it's cool how you celebrate those AWTR days, hehe. You should also celebrate January 25, the day the movie came out! That would be cool. I sort of did this year, when I was still posting on that dumb Sony Music AWTR board...I never go there anymore because I just don't like the way people are there. But anyway...yeah, you and I are *a lot* alike. You're 14, right? I'll be 13 in about 9 days. =)

Hey Claire. Yes, I'm fourteen. I turned fourteen on April 6. 13 in 9 days, huh? humm... that makes your birthday.. June 7?? I am not sure how you're counting. Anyways. I have not seen Pearl Harbor but I would really like to. We have recently "studied" the Holocaust and WWII in our Language arts class (the reason I put studied in quotes is because we almost never do anything in that class, only big projects) and I would really like to see the movie. I rented it once but its long and I never got a chance to watch it. I will though. And I will celebrate the other AWTR day :) -- KatieS, 21:26:26 05/28/03 Wed

Hehe..... -- *Claire*, 20:19:34 05/31/03 Sat
Your language arts class sounds like my 6th grade communication skills (aka language arts) class. haha. It was project after project. I maintained a good grade in that class though...luckily.
Anyway, yeah, "Pearl Harbor" is a good movie. If you had asked me this a year ago I'd probably tell you it's an AWESOME movie because I loved it. But it is good.
Oh, and actually, my birthday is on June 6. You were close though! =D

I knew june 6 or 7, I couldn't figure it out. Well then. That's sooner, that's a good thing, right? LOL. That's my first day of summer vacation. Oh, and remind me to see Pearl Harbor! -- KatieS, 23:21:17 05/31/03 Sat
