According to the August 29, 2002 Washington Post article, I was signed in as a proponent of the bill. However, I don't believe I signed myself in. As reported Mr. Dembrow usually has a member of his staff sign in people he invites to testify. Be that as it may, I was specifically asked in my testimony whether I supported the legislation mandating the police videotape confessions. I answered "NO". One can assume only Mr. Collins could construe that as me being in favor of such legislation. Furthermore, Mr. Dembrow credited my testimony with his withdrawal of the legislation.

I never met Mr. Dembrow before the date of my testimony. He called me early that morning and spoke with me by telephone. I have not seen him since. I have no idea what Mr. Dembrow does other than being a member of the House of Delagates. With respect to Mr. Vallerio, I have met him on several occassions. I know he is an attorney as well as a member of the House of Delagates. He is not a friend. I have never socialized with him. Most importantly, both Mr. Dembrow and Vallerio and DEMOCRATS, as is Mr. Collins.

The only deals anyone will get from me is the deal I will be elected for, "Justice for all." If you have futher questions about Ms. Hall's statements I suggest you contact her.
