Subject: Do all Sorentos whine from the rear?

I bought a 2005 Sorento almost 5 months ago. It has a very annoying whine from the rear when I accelerate between 45 to 50 mph. The dealership has taken my car apart and put it back together to include replacing the entire differential assembly, nothing corrected the problem. The dealership consulted the Field Engineer to come evaluate this noise. They state they drove 5 other Sorentos off the lot and all of them made this "whine" with varying degrees of pitch. I drove a Sorento off their lot the very next day, and did not hear it. They are telling me that this is a "normal noise in the drive line, and that all Sorentos have it". Does yours? I find it very embarrasing when I reach 45mph and my passengers ask me,"What's that noise?" Is it safe? Is it going to create problems later? If this is a "normal noise" then I feel they have an Engineering defect and need to investigate this further. They said they would take my car as a regular "trade-in", and sell me another Sorento, leaving me to pay the depreciation on this new vehicle. I don't think that's fair. I agree with having to pay for the miles I have driven, but the depreciation too? I bought a new car, now I have a rebuilt 5 month old. Any advice on what to do?
