We say this just about every week but it is important! The Gay Writers Guild belongs to all of us. It is up to you to help us grow so we can help others grow.Every aspect of the GWG is important.

Our latest attempt is the Newsletter. We need your help to make it a success. Read the newsletter mission statement and find a way to contribute.

GWG Newsletter Mission Statement

The purpose of the GWG Newsletter is to promote, support, encourage, and provide feedback for authors of gay fiction and poetry in all genres.

That’s a simple statement, but it carries a lot of weight. Each month as a service to the members of GWG and AWW, the Newsletter will bring ideas, thoughts, feedback and inspiration for all authors.

How will we do it? By looking at the issues that affect us as gay authors. We’ll look at the technical side of writing, such as punctuation, spelling, grammar, themes, characterization, settings, foreshadowing and dialog among others. We’ll look at popular word processing programs, and how to convert and edit in different programs. We’ll spotlight websites that can be valuable to writers.

We can have interviews, an advice column and other articles by beginning writers just like yourself. We’ll look at other issues too, such as; How do you find the time to write with a full-time job? How do you overcome writer’s block? Where do you get story ideas? Why do you write? What satisfaction do you get from writing?

Of course, the GWG Team and myself won’t be able to do this alone. We need your input and articles! Send them to: gwgnewsletter@yahoo.com and we’ll be in touch!
