Well, if strange things are going on here that defy all rationality, what could the goings-on at a certain other place be called?

Can anybody explain to me:

Why is it always the Shack where the battles flare up when a sizeable number of the people involved also visit the other message boards where they could fight just as well?

Why is it that more or less anonymous flamers succeed again and again to draw people who are friends or at least on friendly speaking terms into a battle against each other again and again? A battle that goes on when the flamer had left long before?

Why is it that some people go out of their way to flame people they do not like when it is so easy on the internet to simply stay away from them or ignore their posts?

And finally, why is it that only two people were interested enough to kill the offending post on their boards when a porn site infests probably hundreds of boards on itw, making every visitor to the boards a page hit in the porn site's viewer statistics and probably the "donor" of an IP address that comes in handy for further fraud? BTW Duckie, your old pond also has the script.
