So after she finished taking out his braids they put all their beach stuff in her car and drove to Omari’s apartment complex. He lived in a two-story apartment that had a view of the Hollywood sign. Clara had an overnight bag in her trunk and she brought it out so she could shower and get out of her swimsuit.
Clara- you have a nice apartment
Omari- (walking up stairs) thanks, my mom helped me decorate it
Clara- (laughs and follows him up stairs) you two did a good job
Omari- thanks
Clara- (putting her bag on the floor) I turned off my phone …you think I should turn it back on?
Omari- for what?
Clara- just in case some one tries to reach me
Omari- nope …it’s your day off …let them leave a message
Clara- are you sure?
Omari- yep, I’m positive
Clara- (looks sad) okay
Omari- why the long face
Clara- (sits down on the floor in Indian style) I don’t know
Omari- (sits down in front of her) okay I know what this about …tell me …why do you want your ex-boyfriend back so bad?
Clara- I don’t know, well because I love him, I don’t wanna start all over again with somebody else, I love him and I want him
Omari- yeah but what was so special about him? Did he do any nice things for you?
Clara- (thinks about it) naw not really, he bought me a lot of gifts, …really …he got me in a lot of trouble, pressured me to have sex with him then left me, but we did have good times together and that’s why I love him
Omari- well …it sounds like you were on the rebound from your first love hooked up with him and thought you were in love cuz he was different from your first love
Clara- yeah he was, Fizz was more my speed, I never got in a fight or suspended over him, but he left me so he could go and …shoot I don’t know what he wanted to do, but he thought he was gonna come back to me but I had hooked up with Lami
Omari- Clara, I know this is gonna surprise you but …you are not in love with your ex, you’re in like with him
Clara- in like?
Omari- yeah, you like him a whole lot, he gives you security because you’ve been with him for so long, but somebody else can give you the security he did and love you a lot better than he did
Clara- well it’s gonna take time for me to find that out
Omari- it sure is
Clara- well …imma take my shower now, and then I’ll be ready to braid your hair
Omari- okay
Clara got up and went into the bathroom in Omarion’s room to shower.
Omari took out some clothes for him to put on and got his hair stuff out. He felt sorry for Clara and hoped he could make her feel better about her situation. He knew how hard it was to break up with some one you love a lot. Clara came out of the bathroom in a long shirt.
Clara- why did I have everything in this overnight bag but clothes?
Omari- (laughs) don’t ask me, maybe that’s the bag you were gonna take back to your ex’s house to try and get him back
Clara- (laughs) I don’t think so this must be my Usher bag
Omari- your Usher bag?
Clara- I love Usher, but I think he still had a restraining order on me
Omari laughs.
Clara- (looks serious) I’m not laughing
Omari- (stops laughing)
Clara- (starts laughing) sike, I am …but not about the restraining order
Omari- (laughs he was happy Clara was laughing and not moping about her ex) you are too much (goes into the bathroom)
Clara didn’t have anything to do while Omari was in the bathroom. She didn’t wanna plunder in his business and she kinda felt like she was back in Fizz’s apartment. She took a photo album and started looking through the pictures. She was almost finished when Omari walked out …in a towel. Clara’s eyes almost budged out of her head. Even though she had just seen him in swimming trunks and was all up on him in the water …this was different. She knew there was nuthin under that towel that was securely tied around his waist, which was down too far, which was just right for her. The water was just glistening down his six-pack, like damn! Did he have that at the beach? He had washed his hair and it was in a wet fro that touched his shoulders.
Omari- sorry, I forgot my clothes
Clara almost jumped up and attacked him.
Clara- it’s okay
Omari got his clothes and went in the bathroom. Clara shut the photo album and got up to walk around. Damn! Did she just see what she thought she saw? Omari was really fine, she had just noticed this, maybe it was the lack of clothes, but damn, he was fine. Omari can back out wearing plaid shorts and a white wife beater and smiled at her.
Clara- (trying to get her thoughts back) you ready for me to braid your hair?
Omari- yeah, but what are you gonna do with that afro on your head?
Clara pulled on some of her curly hair- you think I should get a perm?
Omari- no …your hair is cute like that
She reached in her bag and pulled out a hair scrunchy and pulled the front in a ponytail.
Omari- (laughs) that didn’t help
Clara- (smiles) forget you …and you want me to do your hair?
Omari- is it too late for me to take it back?
Clara- come on (sits down on the edge of the bed)
Omari- aiight (sits on the floor between her legs)
She starts to braid his hair.
Chelle- who was that?
Kaylonie- OLAMIDE!
Both- what??
Kaylonie- looking for my sister …I sent his happy azz on his way
Aashene- awww …C really wanted to talk to him
Kaylonie- C needs to leave these no good men alone and chill by herself for a minute
Chelle- true, cuz even though yall brother wants to just walk his fine azz back in my life, he has some waiting to do
Aashene- yeah. I never really thought about all this, I only thought about work, but I really like Jerome, I just don’t wanna have to go through all yall went through
Kaylonie- hopefully you won’t but it’s no guarantee …I’ve learned so much over the years though, so I don’t regret it, I’m such a better person now than I was when I left home after high school with Derrick
Nelly and then get back.
Nelly- ay dirty …where Clara at?
Kaylonie- she left earlier …she was a lil mad
Murphy Lee- about what?
Kaylonie- her love life, she was sayin how love is a whole bunch of bullsh*t so she’s gonna fly solo for a while
Murphy Lee- oh
Ali- po lil girl needs help
Kaylonie- naw …just some time to her self
Nelly- and how would you know Pimp 101?
Kaylonie- livin and learnin big bro …but anywayz …I wanna get out this house …Chelle and Aashene yall wanna go ridin? (She looked over and Chelle but she was talking to Nelly) well Aashene u wanna go ridin?
Aashene- (laughs) sure …let’s go
So they leave and drive to the city and go to a Carl Jr. to get something to eat.
Kaylonie- so what’s up with you and Jerome?
Aashene- I don’t know …I know he likes me, but he seems kinda stuck on Clara
Kaylonie- and she says I have a Lonie Charm, what does she call that voodoo she got on Jerome?
Aashene- (laughs) he’s really nice, but I don’t wanna get too attached
Kaylonie- you got somebody else?
Aashene- well, De’Mario, but he’d back in Vegas, we had a good relationship but my job got in the way
Kaylonie- I was just about to say I know what you mean, but hell …I don’t
Aashene- (laughs) girl you are so funny
Kaylonie- yeah I know (notices a man sitting in front of them) damn he fine
Aashene- who?
Kaylonie- him (Aashene was about to turn around) don’t turn around …imma try to get him to come over here
Aashene- how?
Kaylonie- it’s easy …all I gotta do is look at him like I want him and he’ll come
Aashene- (laughs) you are too much
Kaylonie starred the man down, but he didn’t come.
Kaylonie- what the hell is wrong with him? He thinks just cuz he’s all fine he can’t give in to me?
Aashene- (laughs) you are crazy, go over there and talk to him
Kaylonie- girl I’m aggressive but I’ve never approached a guy before
Aashene- well it’s a first time for everything
Kaylonie- well you ain’t never lied …I’ll be right back
She got up and walked over to the fine brotha with the wavy black hair and pretty hazel eyes.
Kaylonie- (sits down) hey …I couldn’t help noticing me noticing you
Guy- (laughs) me either
Kaylonie- then why didn’t you come over and say anything?
Guy- I didn’t have anything to say
Kaylonie- you could have said …hello my name is …then said your name
Guy- (laughs) I could have …but it looks like you beat me too it
Kaylonie- (smiles) well my name is Kaylonie (extends her hand)
Guy- (shakes her hand) nice to meet you Kaylonie …I’m Blake
Kaylonie- Blake …what a nice name
Blake- thanks …yours is nice too
Kaylonie- so what are you doing sitting her all by yourself?
Blake- just tryin to get some lunch before I go back to work
Kaylonie- really? Where do you work at?
Blake- I’m a doctor
Kaylonie- coo
Blake- what are you doing here?
Kaylonie- oh I’m just getting out of the house; I didn’t have to work today
Blake- what do you do?
Kaylonie- I’m a writer
Blake- really?
Kaylonie- yeah, I write for Romeo Films
Blake- dang, that’s really good
Kaylonie- thanx
Blake- no problem
Kaylonie- (tired of the boring conversation) so tell me …what does a girl like me have to do to get with a guy like you
Blake- (laughs) you are really str8 to the point aren’t you Miss Kaylonie
Kaylonie- I sure am Mr. Blake …so tell me
Blake- all a girl like you has to do is say it
Kaylonie- okay then …Blake I’m tryin to get with you
Blake- (laughs) now who could say no to that?
Kaylonie- (laughs) nobody …trust me
Blake- how about you leave me with your number
Kaylonie- unt un Cutie …how about you leave me with yours?
Blake- (laughs) I like you Miss Kaylonie …of course …you can have every number I’ve got
Kaylonie smiled.
