Subject: I agree with Drake on EVERYTHING except...

There are only 2 things that i would want to change in drakes system. I am not saying i disagree with Drakes post, i was ICQing him when he wrote it, i just thought there was a couple of items that could be strengthened. Now i agree recruitment is the most important part of any clan but the leadership and ranking system is a big lure for quality REC's who have been through clans before and know what to look for. Opportunity for advancement is the main key in any clan system. Ill try to be brief and too the point:

1) I dont like the council member for life thing. I know that the HM's united could take a council member out, but if a council member doesnt like one member and is not giving him any oppurtunities, then that member is probley gonna be out of luck since he wouldnt have any support for kicking that council member off the council. Im not saying that is going to be a recurring thing, im saying that council members are very important and it is good to have the ability to move on if a better one is found.

I purpose that the 3 council members be elected from the current housemastersits every 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Only the other HM's will vote to make it easier to tally. (Now youre saying well those houses would just control the whole clan, ive thought of that and ill cover it below.) So the council members would be HM's and council members at the same time. Now you think it would be too much work, since they have the webpage and all? Drake said in his post that the HM's would manage their own members, that means a lot of pressure is gonna be taken off the page.

The benefits of this are that since the leadership is regualry given a chance to change, it will be much more open-minded and in touch with what the clan needs and wants since they want the other HM's to vote them back in the council next time. Plus more ppl will get a oppurtunity to be in the council since many different people have been a HM and only 5-7 have been council members. Being a HM is fun and the council shouldnt be left out just because theyre on the council. If a council member is not on much or not very liked among the members he could be taken off the council easily in a nonshameful manner that would still let him be in the clan.

2) Drake wrote that the council "regulates which laws are put into place"

I think that it should read "regulates how laws are put into place"

The houses jointly purpose and vote on the rules since the persiding council members at the time would also be HM's they would have a say it the issues as much as anyone else.

Basically the council should have no law making ability only law enforcing. This handles the earlier problem of 3 houses controlling all the others.

Other council responsibilities could include webpage updates other than the house's responsibility, clanwide tournies, making sure the houses are in line, regulate how laws are enforced and preside over clan meetings. Yes the council would still have power but the houses would almost always vote on issues via the website like Drake suggested in his post.

I think these 2 additions to Drakes post would greatly enhance the clan experiance in many matters.
