Subject: Um, a series of important announcements that you should all probably read.....I would really appreciate replies as well.....

First off, Blizzard has announced thier new game.

Warcraft 3.

Now, it was kinda predictable that'd it'd be Warcraft 3, but what wasn't expected was that this will not be a Real-Time Strategy Game. Oh no...Blizzard is tryin' to create a whole new genre of computer games (to my knowledge). Role Playing Strategy (RPS).

It's expected to be completed by the end of the Year 2,000. If it's out before 2,001 I will take back my other announcements (aint gonna happen).

And that brings me to my other announcment. I will be not be able to have an active role in any on-line gaming communities in the year to come. The reason is simple...I spend FAR too much time on the computer, and I would really like to enjoy, as my roommate puts it, "the real world."

I will be a member of House Council this year (think High School gov't), as a Wing Rep. Each dorm elects a president, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, Activities Co-Ordinator, etc. In addition, each wing in the dorm selects a person to represent the wing and all that. Now that by itself wouldn't take up much of my time, but last night I made another little decision and that's gonna be the killer.

I've decided to pledge Alpha Phi Omega. How, if you're like some people I know, goin' Greek is probably the last thing you expected, or wanted, me to go, but allow to explain. Alpha Phi Omega (APO) is a SERVICE organization. The only thing that makes 'em sound like a Frat is the fact that they have the Greek letters, and have Rush. Otherwise, it's about as far from a Frat. as you can get. It's Co-Ed, and I think 60% female. They're a service organization. They do things like build houses for people, and help at Boy Scouts (APO I think was founded by Boy Scouts)

Anyway, it's gonna be a HUGE eater of my time. That and the fact that computer games are doin' less and less for me. Starcraft is a good, solid game, but I played it pretty much non-stop for 2 years. Diablo was good, and you'll probably see me and my roommate runnin' around battle.net a time or two. I think the guys on this wing wanna go in on a guild hall or somethin'. I dunno.

Anyway, I'm not gonna be completely gone, but you aint gonna see me on-line all that much. Those are only the biggest two reasons. There are a few other, smaller reasons that I wont go into right now.

If this screws over the clan (which I doubt) then I'm sorry, but as you know my long standing rule: Real Life Comes First, and it's high time I started listening to that rule.
