Yes, Marx, perhaps maybe I DO want to run the clan behind the scenes with a "puppet" leader. Is that any worse than what you're trying to do? Maybe, maybe not.

You see, folks, I'm a control freak. Ask Drake, or Emrys. I HAVE to be the one calling the shots. I hate being told what to do, and I enjoy the power that comes with responcibility. If I'm in a clan, my goal is always to one day become the leader. If I'm working in a group for a class project, I'm the guy who tries to take control and direct the group. I make the phone calls, I organize the meetings, and anything else.

Emrys knows that when we played AD&D I was the guy who tried (not always too successfully) to direct the party and tried to always see to it that they followed my plan.

So, I'm a control freak. Some people consider this a great strength. Others deem it a horrible weakness. I consider it to be both. You'll get nowhere in life if you don't always push to get to the next level. ALWAYS strive exceed other's expectations of you. ALWAYS attempt to be more than you currently are. The trick is, however, to not believe that you're more than you are, which is the trap I usually fall into.

Let me put it simply: I would make a damn good leader for the clan, and if I were able to do so on a full time basis, I think I should be the guy.

In High School class elections, 99% of the people who ran "Didn't vote for themselves because that's....that's just not right!"

I call those people naive. When you vote, you vote for the person you think would be the best at the job. If you're voting for class president, you vote for the person you think would be the best class president. If you don't vote for yourself, then you don't think you're the best person for the job. I fyou don't think you're the best person for the job, why the hell were you running in the first place? That is also why a person runs for office, because they think they're the best.

I think I'm the best person to run this clan. You think you're the best person to run this clan. We disagree. Now, I have no great love for ya, Marxy. I imagine you've got no great love for me. I see you as an arrogant person who expects everyon to bend over backwards because you want them too. I suspect you see me in a very similar way. I don't think you make a particularly good leader, because the only leadership from you that I have witnessed is as a leader who was never around. True, the reason was beyond your control but I didn't know that at the time (and I should've, which was a fault of yours, not mine).

I may very well be over-reacting here, and if I am, I apologize. That's another strength/weakness of mine. I can get very passionate about the wrong things very quickly. I can also get very passionate about the right things equally quickly. It's hit or miss, just like pretty near everything else in life.
