When the tool of communication is used to cause ill, someone or a group of persons is ususally hurt or offended in some way. This is often done to prejudice or convince others of an idea, thought or belief. The best example of this that comes to mind is Hitler's speeches about cleansing Europe of the Jews and making it a pure, Arian society.

By understanding the power of communication, and the real message being sent by a particular communication, we can in turn learn to analyze communications, and to be selective about what we accept as valid, true and good informaiton.
