>I think it has something to do with both, as in who the leader is and what stage the group os up to, but I agree with you that the reason leadership (rather than facillitating)is being recieved better is more to do with the stage of the group and the fact that we are learning through trial and error what DOESNT work. It isnt all magically falling into place and there is n element of panic (clocks ticking mentality sort of thing)which has led to a turn around on what the group is now wanting/needing. Also though, we are getting to know more about the most likely 'leaders' or those willing to take on the responsibilty, and so are feeling more comfortable about making a choice.
I agree that there is a def place for a leader/s to take the uncertaintity away, especially at the start of a meeting where so much time is wasted reestablishing the feel of things. our last 1/2 hr is always way more productive, having the same leader throughout would ensure more consistancy and confidance in what ws to be expected of the meeting.
I am SURE that this is where the consultants are trying to poke and prod us to as well.
They are very sneaky like that it seems. (God I hope they ARE checking up on us by reading anything posted here!!! Hi guys ;-) )

Def food for thought!
