Just because a skin product is on the market doesn't mean it is not irritating. Many people have allergic reactions to PABA for example (although the Almay kinetin products I used were PABA free.) AHAs are by their very nature irritating. The Almay, PABA free kinetin products I tried were in fact irritating to my skin.

I am wondering what the researcher you mentioned did with the kinetin that caused the flys to die? Feed it to them? Coat their wings? It seems a bit strange and farfetched. I imagine you could do something with olive oil to flies that would kill them.

All I can say is that I also see a dermatologist regularly and the Body Shop kinetin 24 hour cream has helped the appearance of my skin tremendously.
