Date Posted: 16:49:28 12/02/02 Mon Dana drove into the driveway of the stables, and she hopped out with Arianna. Ari went to the back of the car, where the trailer was, and went inside to get Rosie. "Hi Ari! Hi Dana!" I said happily. Arianna and Dana greeted me, and everyone followed me into the barn. "Dana, the arena has a caveleti with chairs behind it if you want to go wait." I said Dana was off, as I watched Arianna tack up Rosie. I knew she didn't need help, but I stood there just in case. I walked out to the arena and sat down in a chair beside Dana. Arianna was out in the middle of the arena, tightening her girth. When she was done measuring her stirrups and mounting, she walked around on Rosie, the ten year old oldenburg. After she had went around a few times, I told her to go into a trot. I caught her on the wrong diagnol once, and told her to keep her heels down. She posted almost perfectly in the saddle, while Rosie trotted along with ease. The advanced rider was doing perfect when I called out "HALT!" Ari almost seemed startled, but she managed to halt her horse, and get her to stand in place. "Walk on." I commanded, and the two walked along the rail of the arena. I picked up Fluffy, who was taking a stroll in front of us. " She sat on my lap, as Dana and I patted her for awhile. Then, I told Ari to go into a canter. The horse sprang into a 3-beat gait, bouncing around the arena. I told Ari to push her heels down a few times, but other than that, both rider and horse did well. Arianna cantered on Rosie another time, keeping the same content and doing much better. After the two had walked for a few minutes, I asked Arianna if she was ready to jump a little. She nodded vigorously, and I set up the jumps while she walked some more. " Ok, pick up a trot and go over the caveletis a few times" I said. Arianna trotted and got Rosie ti go over the caveletis a couple times. Then, I let her go over some 2' Xs and some 3' gates and fences. "Ready for the ultimate?" I asksed with a mysterious voice. Ashley grinned and nodded slowly. I set the jumps higher while she walked Rosie again, and told her to pick up a canter. She cantered around a few times, and then started going over a 5'6" jump. Ari and Rosie jumped it a little, and then went through the whole coarse. Ari didmounted soon after, and brushed Rosie down.
