Date Posted: 18:45:22 12/15/02 Sun *She takes the black stallion out of his stall and grooms him. Then she tacks him up, leads him to the riding ring and mounts. Tori dances away from her and gives a little crow hop as she lands in the saddle, then prances forward in a long-strided walk. Every few strides he bucks or trots and Kelsey easily sits and controls the horse. After a little walk work, she asks him to trot. he moves into a flowing, ground covering trot and Kelsey smiles and relaxes a little. As soon as she relaxes, Tori gives a little buck and Kelsey instantly picks her hands up and makes him do a 10 meter circle. Then she asks him to canter. The black stallion springs into a light canter, then bucks playfully. Kelsey laughs and canters a few laps before she slows him to a trot. Then she changes direction and canters him again. After she finishes cantering, she does some trot-walk-trot transitions with him, then cools him out. She takes him back to the barn, grooms and untacks him, then blankets him and turns him out. He gallops several laps around the paddock bucking. Kelsey watches as Tori gallops up to a fallen log, about 3' in height and neatly picks up his feet and pops over it. Once she is sure Tori is calmed down and not planning on hopping over the paddock fence, she goes back up to the barn, cleans Tori's stall and sets it up for the evening feeding, then cleans her tack and puts it away.* [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
