Your criticisms of "Archbishop" Williams are well founded. Indeed, I suspect his advocacy for Druidism may infect the whole of the Anglican Communion. Already one is seeing holly and oak boughs decking the halls of homes and churches, world-wide. Even mistletoe has contaminated the doorways of many homes.

Since Chief Vicar (and PM) Anthony Blair got to choose the new archbishop, I'm surprised that he didn't pick someone with a more suitable view of church establishment, or at least an Anglo Catholic. Even his namesake Rowan Atkinson might have been a better choice were it not for his film commitments.

But perhaps Fr. Tony thought that Williams, as a Methodist in temperament and fact, would sit better with his new mentor and master, George W. Bush, since W. had himself deserted the true Anglican faith for Methodism years ago. Frankly, I don't think the lad understands the difference, but that's another subject.

To quote a well-known Christian film: In my day, it was king first, THEN God! Archbishop Williams would do well to remember the English Reformation, which left more than a few of his ilk on London Bridge (or at least their noggins).
