you have to consider that he is more than just a normal human. (besides the fact that he is the one) he is also a freed human which means he has the power to cross into the matrix and he is half human half machine. he has metal parts and is able to translate computer language into fellings and ideas. he does all this in his head truough his machine parts. (now) since he joined with agent smith he has gained ability and so has agent smith. agent smith can now replicate and he can even translate his code into the "code" of the human brain and "infect" the freed human (which is half human half machine also). he now displays that he has the power to cross over into the other side. i think that neo also has this ability. since he went inside agent smith he had the ability to translate smiths code and learn more about the machines and their programing. and now he has the ability to cross over into the computer world. (meaning) he can somehow broadcast a code or signal to the sentinals (using his machine parts and translation ablities) and stop them. i think this just took too much out of him cause he had to use all of his strength. i will even thoerize and say that he will be able to sense agent smith inside of "bane" the freed human that smith infected. the sentinals and every machine put out an electromagnetic field and each field has a distinct frequency. with his machine parts he can no doubt pick up this frequency and with his translation abilities he can realize that it is the frequency of the sentinal (he would know this because he has met them before and has felt it before. (i believe that because we are all human and all have brain activity that results in brain waves. and since we can measure these brain waves and they travel trough the air i think that other humans can pick up those brain waves. and if its someone close to you (family etc.) then i think they would have a similar brain wave pattern and they would be able to translate your waves and be able to pick up your toughts. this it why i think that its possible to read minds. because you can pick up their bran waves. if you think about it we all use the same devices(our brains) to think and we all have brain waves flowing out of our brains and we dont even know what large portions of the brain do. well maybe they are for this process.)
ok sorry to get off topic but i think this is exactly how neo can fell the machines and even control them. he knows their code and he can make a code to send to them that would disable them.
