Thanks for the question. I would say that what has seemed to be a trend in history in general is that more males study it than females but I think that is changing somewhat. We will have to get a list of the students in Dr. Hoffman's class at Lee U and see.

The co-author of our text is a woman and the medievalist that Dr. Hoffman and I studied with at Miami U is a woman.

I am glad you "broke the ice" and I hope other students will jump into the discussion. I certainly hope that this Form will facilitate discussion about the Medieval World.
