This article was very interesting, especially the author's thoughts on not only going to the Grateful Dead concerts for the music, but for the culture. It seems, like bluegrass festivals, that people want to escape the reality of the real world to go to a place where they feel accepted and part of something. I think that the scene can be re-created. It may not be like the one the author is used to seeing, but it is one that brings different people together who share the love of music and of that particular band, which I think constitutes as a music community.
