I am going to have to disagree with this statement that we as individuals when alone take on roles for ourselves. I don't know if it is just that I am a female (hahah), but as much as I want to say I dont cre what other people think it is is inevitable that everybody does. Well maybe not everybody but a large percent. Like the example in class, a girl painting her nails in her bedroom alone. Yes she is painting her nails but I bet that at least once it crossed her mind either I hope people like them, or I wonder if people will notice, or i hope they l;ook ok bc people are going to see them. Therefore I believe people take on roles even when they are alone.
