The management of the Edmonton Oilers invited the journalist to meet the new acquisition this week.

" With this year auction, we manage to pick up four players. Andrews Cassels, Craig Conroy, Trent Klatt and M.Schneider. We had to fill the huge whole we had in center last year and Conroy would be a good fit. Klatt will bring grit to the RW that was badly needed. Schneider bring good depth on D. He can play physical and scores. These guys might be expensive but the fans deserves better play from the Oilers this year. With OUSTANDING prospects coming along there was a need to bridge the gap betweem Youth and experience.

During the week we proceed to trade Cassels to B.C. for picks, Morrow, Kloucek. We didn't expect to get both Cassels and Conroy. We had to trade one. At 6.5 million, he was too expensive for third centerman.We really like Kloucek, we believe he will bring a good physical element and strengh to this team. He is injured prone but could become a major asset to this team if our physio do their jobs properly. Morrow bring grint to our team and will eventually score 30 goals.

At the end of the week, Calgary made a sneaky move by trying to grab both Baron and Hedican. Baron was a keeper for our farm team but Hedican was too injured prone to pass the three first round pick. He played two season with us and got injured twice for more than 3 months costing us the chance of making the playoffs twice. We think he is in better shape now but the the return was so much better than is actual value. Calgary will still paid the price when will play them this year for this back door tactics.It's obvious that he is afraid of the Oilers this year and that's probaly why he is going after our players. This just give us more motivation to play them this year and the grid we acquire with all our moves would be at use especially against the Cougars.
