Give it up Bobby,
The fact that someone thinks, and probably repeats to others, that the track tore up their engine speaks volumes.
I've come to the conclusion that the OK karting crowd has things just like they want them and aren't interested in change or improvement.
It's funny, out of the hundreds of tracks listing weekly on my track info forum, any one of them can go to any of the other tracks nationwide and run, and they'll fit into the rules nearly perfectly. Every track around here has it's own rules and, whether you believe it or not, that's to the detriment of karting in this area. There is NO organization or cooperation, I see rough driving encouraged and I see favoritism and local politics in play heavily.
Hell, my first impression of Muskogee was seeing the track owner run across the track and start a fight with one of the racers. Several national and regional level competitors have moved into the Tulsa area, most have moved into Micro's because the level of karting competition in this area is so low.
As far as Extreme World goes, the track, while not national grade, is definitely at least regional grade. It has good clay, is smooth, takes rubber quickly, and is fast. As far as being hard on engines, Bobby and Jeff have more laps on the track than anybody and I'm seeing no wear that's out of the ordinary. I didn't blame the Muskogee track when Bobby blew my personal big valve open sky high, it was just time for it to go to Briggs heaven. The only way to keep from wearing them out is to stay at home.

I've already cancelled all the product and contingency awards offered by my web site sponsors. I was holding off on announcing them until I saw what kind of support we would get in the area. After three events, guess I've got my answer.
I will say that Mike Burris was wanting to make Extreme World a showcase track for the Burris National Speedway Series. Maybe later, if I can work out a way to do it without any local support. To say I'm disappointed would be putting it mildly.
If I lose any friends because of being honest here, well I guess they weren't too good 'a friends in the first place.

Stan, tell Johnny his engine is ready. I used your old "made ya look" block, Dyno 375 Drag billet cam, ARC 4.475 rod, and Wiseco .490 compression height L-ring piston. Tell him there's no charge. It's just another engine put together from my junkpile (like your's was). :-)
Shoot, I just hope it'll move under it's own power.
