Wire speed should be around 400 ft/m voltage around 24 to 26 volts. I have similar eqpt power mig 300 with a python gun.For good result you must be well in spray mode more than 17/19 volts is needed.For 1/4 inch i use that setting and gives me good results. On thinner material like 1/8 and less it is better to use pulse welding. Yes you have to go fast AL is like that.

You have to push with your gun not pull, clean clean clean with ssbrush, and try, you will find the right settings for you.
