I have a Lincoln power mig 255 with a Prince spool gun. Overall the setup seems to work pretty good for a beginner but I'm learning this on my own and I'm having some trouble fine tuning things. I'm using .035 wire for 5/16 and up and .030 for under 5/16. My argon is set at 25 and I'm running between 17 and 19 V on the machine setting. I get ok beads most of the time but I'm having trouble laying consistent nice beads and I have to move super fast.

Should I have to move this fast or am I doing something wrong? What's the best technique for laying a bead? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
