having trouble welding up a alum casting. eutectic tig machine -welds steel fine went to weld alum and the tungston and the cup meld away.
i have put a new miller torch on this machine and this is the first alum i have welded with it.tried a piece of alum sheet same problem.does not mather what i select to weld with ac,dc,ac-rev,it starts out like it should till the cup burns away and the tungston melds up into the cup.
i am pgoing to try a different torch, not the original one it is hurt.any advise would be greatly apreciated.
