I agree with you in that I have seen stage 1 and 2 from Kohlberg's theory within the children I work with. In fact, most of the teenage boys I work with function within those stages, period. I like Kolhberg's theory because it is easily applicable, like you stated. However, I think Erikson's theory is more applicable to the youth I work with. I think Erikson provides a template in working with youth and a spring board in meeting them where they are and supplying what they need. So I also agree with you in that Erikson's theory is more relevant in my career and life for that matter. I also personally believe that if one can establish what stage they are in from Erikson's theory and begin to progress accordingly, then he/she will also progress in Kolhberg's theroy as well.
