Hey Jessika,

I guess Erikson considered that people would resolve each stage before moving to the next, but the resolution could have been positive or negative. So those who have negative resolutions from past stages may need to re-address those areas even though they have moved beyond that particular stage. It seems a bit confusing that people cannot return to a stage but can continue to work to resolve past stages positively. I am inclined to think that no theory can completely pin us down because humans are so complex. I'm hoping to do play therapy in the future. I'd love to hear more about your experiences!
