Wow this is an interesting and valuable experience to have. I've taken some counseling classes and a behavior modification class and do not think I could handle this type of situation. However, it seems that behavior modification is the best "medicine" to use for children with autism. I also love the idea of using the positive reinforcement and then instead of punishment when the students do something wrong, explaining to them why they are not getting rewarded. Great strategy.
