I don't think that and IQ completely measures the accuracy of a person's intelligence. I think that some people are smart in different ways. You might be math smart, but not literature smart, you might be smart because you know geography real well, but you might not know how to do math well. You might be book smart, but not street smart. I think that the word intelligent is a very cloudy word and that it doesn't take into account all the different types of intelligence. Also, some people might not be good at taking test and specifically multiple choice test.

Also, IQ test do not take motivation into account either. I think that motivation plays a huge role in whether or not a person is perceived as intelligent. I know this for a fact because I am one of those people. People tell me all the time that I am so smart and whatnot, but what they are mistaking for intelligence is motivation. I have to work harder than most people to pass a test or write a paper, but what keeps me getting good grades is the fact that I am motivated to do well.

During and after taking the tests, my opinion did not really change (except for the fact that they take way too long and that might be a factor in why people don't score as well). I think it is a great tool to use to determine a person's level of intelligence, but I don't think it should be the only measure.

I wouldn't really say that the results were helpful as much as they were insightful. It was kind of cool seeing what a "paper and pencil test" said about me. When I saw my results, I thought that the IQ test had to be really off because my score was way higher than I thought.

The most challenging things about the test were the length and the puzzle parts where you try to make a word or object out of mixed up puzzle pieces. I had no idea what they were and pretty much guessed. I was tired of taking the IQ test about half way through and the last couple of questions I just took a stab at because I was ready to be done.
