Theta chapter is an associate member of the Panhellenic Council at Illinois. We have many options by being only associate members. We do not take part in formal rush, which is a major function of Panhell, so we can do almost anything we want. The major limitation is that we cannot have men at rush events. However, by being involved, we can get our name out to other Greek houses and get involved with other chapters in philanthropic events. We also keep informed with Kolusis rules and other Greek regulations on campus. One of my goals is to get rid of the stipulation that associate members are not as important as full members. It has been quite a task, but I'm taking it to Joint Greek Council next semester. JGC is the combination of Panhell, IFC, and Black Greek Council. Anyway, we are trying to use Panhell to improve our events and get our name out.
