What do we agree on?
1. Everyone has different opinions and are allowed to express their opinions
2. Most comments are speculation and intepretation
3. Disclaimers are not necessary

What don't we agree on?
(I'm using myself as an example mostly because I can't speak for how you see other people.)
1. My taking people's point and arguing where I see flaws and holes is an argument. You see it as me being high-and-mighty and pushing my agenda on people.
2. Some intepretations are better than others. You believe they're all intepretation and all equally valid.

Well, seeing how we agree on more things than we disagree on, there really is no point in chasing our tails trying to prove our point after this (which is not to say earlier arguments weren't valid). You have a problem with how I word my posts and arguments, I don't. I *will* keep in mind to try not to come off as pushing my opinions on other people in the future, but if I see it fit to poke a hole in someone else's argument, I'm going to do so. Not because I feel a need to feed my elitist views, but because I disagree with it and I have to voice my disagreement and where it came from.

As for my believing there are better intepretations, it's how I feel. If it makes me poorer, than that's my lost. I'm not saying I'm right, but that for me, I believe in degrees on arguments and intepretation and I do judge them. I'm not going to apologize for that unless I openly and viciously attack someone and call their argument stupid and ridiculous.

Now I realize we both have different definitions of what constitute an open and vicious attack, but I'll do this for you: I'll be careful to not make my writing come off as if I believed the other person to be less of a fan or that their views are "moot". However, I will decide when I cross the line. Everyone has a different sensitivity. I won't be able to accomodate all of them even if I wanted (which I don't.)

(Note to Marina: I don't mean the last line to sound like I think I you expect me to accomodate all the sensitivities. I'm just making a point that I don't feel a need to please everyone to other people who might think I cracked for a moment and thought about that for a minute. That just ain't a Lika thing to do *grin*)
