Well, we know where Aoki's background is -- the Windcasters. With Kakyou, we know next to nothing about his family, and the same with Saya (save for that which she creates herself) -- it's just a curious little thought.

As for the Kamui as Sei-chan-spawn, I think that might come from Natalie Baan and Kristin Huntsman's joint fic, Broken Worlds.
