I believe Fuuma states that if Kamui gains the power to make a kekkai, he will gain that power also, because.. dun dun dun... Kamui Wishes it to be so. I can't remember exactly where at the moment... I'll go did through my manga again.

And I don't see why he would wish to lose... his
>greatest wish (at least at the time of his choosing

But 'winning' means killing Fuuma, really. So I think it's reasonable to say he might Wish to lose.

(Interesting sidenote: technically

True. But Kotori and Fuuma would have been destoyed with the rest of humanity if that were the case, so I don't think that was what he meant by it at all. It's an interesting thought, though. Kind of like the question of why the Sakurazukamori is DoE when humans are necessary to feed the Sakura.

Heh, I hope so. We only have a little while longer to wait until we find out, too. I'm not going to pleased if his Wish is lame and cheesy- I think Wishing to be killed by Fuuma is a perfectly good one. Well, we'll see.

>Kakyou also told Kamui to stop wishing such a thing...
>*shrug* I really don't know where this is going, but

I think he told Kamui to give up his Wish because he knows how it will end if Kamui keeps it. The non-foreordained destiny that the manga is leading up to is probably based solely on Kamui giving up his Wish, whereas in the movie and the anime he didn't.
