A good question! It's actually a little unclear - all I can offer here is a nod to the part where Hinoto and Kotori are both sharing a dream. Kotori wants to break instead of the Earth, because Earth is where Kamui-chan and Onii-chan are. In a way, she accepts her destiny. Hinoto is unhappy (yet again^^) and says that while there are two futures (two Kamuis, blah blah blah) this girl has only one. Meaning Kotori is going to die.

>Again, Kotori seemingly changed the future, not only
>by breaking, but also by preventing DoH-Kamui's death.
>(Not too sure about the last one though).

I think the point here is that Kotori had an influence over the destiny of Earth, whether she knew it or not. Actually, she did for a long time after her death, since Kamui was always thinking of her.

>She also said "I love them both," so naturally she
>would not want either Kamui to die. (Well, that's more
>or less a "duh" thing to say... XD; )

It was sweet, though. It made me cry.

>So maybe, just maybe, Fuuma will definitely come back?

Kotori and Kamui both want him back. I think it could be really interesting, if played the right way.

Now, I'm no ardent fan of Kotori, but she was a sweet & loving person. So here's the five best things about her:
1. "Destiny...is not yet decided..." Kotori's last words are hopeful at one of the darkest parts of the story. Plus, she's the only Dreamgazer to say that maybe fate can be changed.
2. What she said about Fuuma not being silent, that his soul was eloquent. Neat. And yes, good!Fuuma has so much more feeling underneath that stoic exterior.
3. Kotori spazzing about what kind of icecream she should offer Sorata and Kamui. Funny. :)
4. Her scenes with Kakyou are all very cool; besides, Kakyou is way more fun when he's mysterious.
5. Some of the colour pics of her with birds and stuff are gorgeous. That hair!!
